What is the SOS Talisman and how does it work?
SOS Talisman jewellery has been designed to record and, in the event of an accident or illness, give easy access to the wearer’s medical
details and personal information.
The SOS Talisman comprises a metal lid and base that when screwed together create a water tight and heat resistant unit that securely
encases an informational strip of paper on which the wearer‘s details is recorded.
The SOS Talisman unit is available fixed to a bracelet, pendent or watch strap apparatus.
The Swiss made SOS Talisman are etched with the universally recognised letters for distress, ‘SOS’, engraved clearly on the unit’s lid,
indicating to Medical personal, Police and the general Public that the unit houses important information about the wearer.
The SOS’s Talisman excellent design, coupled with its durability and high standard of quality, means the individual can wear their
SOS Talisman at all times and that it does not need to be removed when undertaking everyday activities or when bathing, swimming etc.

Information strip
The informational strip in housed inside the SOS Talisman unit and comprises a 32cm by 1.5 cm piece of non-soluble fibre on which the
wearer records their details with a waterproof marker or pen. When folded /concertinaed the information strip it fits inside your SOS Talisman unit.
The multi lingual information strip can be read by anyone who can read English, Italian, Swedish, Spanish, French or German and contains
space for the following information pertaining to the wearer to be recorded; name, address and telephone number, date of birth, telephone
number of person(s) to be contacted should the wearer be involved in an accident or taken to hospital suddenly, doctors name and contact
number, religion and any specific wishes, blood group, medical case history (e.g. allergies) and/or medical remarks (e.g. Insulin used
as wearer has diabetes) diabetic), vaccinations and general notes.
In an emergency the lid can be unscrewed, the paper unfolded and your personal and health details offer immediate correct assistance for
the person to save your life.
**Important notice about gold/chrome plated items: Acidity/medications may cause the gold and/or chrome plating to tarnish. The gold or chrome plated items are not recommended for people with diabetes or who are on medications. If this may be an issue for the wearer, please choose one of the stainless steel items instead. Please note that tarnishing of the gold/chrome plated items is not covered under the SOS Talisman guarantee.
