AACS was established in early 1998 by Dr Richard Rosewarne and focusses on analysis, evaluations and system design improvements for all aspects of the Health, Aged and Community care sectors. Evaluations designed to examine the effectiveness of

The company has advanced skills in Information Technology
concept design, IT project development, and the creation of detailed
specifications for software products and software
development. AACS has developed, in partnership
with IT companies, four major web-based systems
for use in the Health and Aged Care sectors.
AACS has a proven

AACS understands the need to customise research strategies in
order to obtain information that will meet the aims and objectives
of our clients. We are experienced in survey design, data collection
and analysis as well as project management. All AACS staff have a
sound knowledge of the theoretical aspects of research and bring
with them a broad range of hands on experience with health care
services. As such, AACS has the ability to bring unique insights
into the development and implementation of your project objectives.

Dr Richard Rosewarne: BSc (Hons); PhD; MAPsS
Dr Richard Rosewarne, is a psychologist and has worked in the Health and Aged Care field for the past 25 years. He has extensive experience in the health, general aged care and aged psychiatry sectors. He brings not only proven technical competence to his work (developed from many years as a senior academic) but he has a wide breadth of knowledge and the experience necessary to undertake consultancy work in the health care sector. Richard has developed excellent working relationships with clients through running community care projects, working with major industry groups, the Commonwealth and State Governments and has a proven record at delivering high quality products. He has advanced skills with research and survey project methodology and knowledge and experience with information systems and database management and analysis. He has previously served as a member of the Commonwealth Government Working Group on Dementia Specific Aged Care; the Commonwealth Government Resident Classification - Industry Liaison Group; and the Victorian Government Dementia Advisory Group. Prior to founding Applied Aged Care Solutions, Dr Rosewarne was a Senior Research Fellow at Monash University, Department of Psychological Medicine. Dr Rosewarne is the Principal Consultant for most projects with responsibility for overseeing the consultancy’s design, conduct and completion, and supervision of project staff.

Janet Opie: BA; Grad Dip App Psych; Cert IV Training & Assessment
Senior Project/Research Consultant
Janet Opie has worked in the Health Care Sector for over 30 years firstly as a registered nurse and subsequently as a registered psychologist and Research Fellow at the Aged Mental Health Research Group in the Department of Psychological Medicine, Monash University. Janet has extensive experience as a national clinical trials manager,and has exceptional organisational skills, high level skills in research and evaluation design and analysis; has an extensive background in developing assessment, evaluation and audit tools for Aged Care projects in the community and in the residential care setting; and has clinical expertise in dementia care. Janet also is experienced in data design and management through her research and clinical expertise in assessment design for community and residential care, dementia and aged care practices.
Andrea Rosewarne: BAppSci (AdvNsg), DipAppSci (CommHlth), MRN
Andrea Rosewarne, has a
Masters Degree in Nursing and has had 25 years of experience working
directly with people with intellectual disabilities and their
carers. Andrea has worked in a number of settings with people with
disabilities including residential facilities, regional teams and in
policy and development. Andrea’s particular research interest areas
include ageing and disability; organisational management; and the
performance of students in higher education settings.
Sergio Salzano: Certified: Prince2 Practitioner & Certified: ITIL Foundation
Project Governance and Management
Sergio has extensive experience in project governance and management, and is able to acclimatise to new environments in a short timeframe and meet deliverables on time and within budgeted costs. Sergio has a high level of expertise in preparing documentation for successful project management including Project Plans, Statement of Works, and communications plan. Sergio has qualifications in a number of management programs and is an IT subject matter expert.
Long Nguyen: BCom; MCom (Information Systems)
Long is a Business Analyst with a wealth of experience in business/systems analysis, requirements documentation and specifications, and project management. He has a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Economics and Finance, and a Masters Commerce in Information Systems and Management.
Genevieve Johnson: BSocSc (Psych); BA (Hons); Cert III Comm Services (Aged Care); Ass Dip Soc Sc (Early Childhood Development)
Genevieve is responsible project administration & documentation support, conducting literature searches & reviews; writing reports; development of training materials and client support.

Dr Malcolm Rosier
Statistical Analyst & Data Management
Dr. Malcolm Rosier has more than forty years' experience in social research in mathematics, science achievement and scale development and complex analysis. His main research interest is in building quantitative models to identify relationships between key factors influencing a criterion of interest. Underlying the development and analysis of such models is his considerable expertise in other aspects of survey research, especially in data collection and management, sampling design and execution, and instrument development using item response theory (IRT) approaches. Dr Rosier has a PhD from Stockholm University and is a Fellow of the Australian College of Education. He worked for more than 20 years at the Australian Council for Educational Research until moving to the Centre for Adolescent Health at the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne.
Hugh Sarjeant - Consultant
Cumpston Sarjeant – Consulting Actuaries
Hugh Sarjeant has been an actuarial analyst with the Commonwealth and Victorian governments, and with Campbell & Cook. He was a director of HB Sarjeant & Associates, John Ford & Associates and Mitchell & Co before founding Cumpston Sarjeant Pty Ltd. He has written valuation and stochastic projection systems for superannuation funds, life insurers, workers compensation schemes and insurance pools. He has a Bachelor of Science (Honours) from Melbourne and a Diploma of Computer Science from Swinburne, and is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia.
